Draw Flowers

Esty shop DrawFlowers is beautiful pieces made from vintage vinyl wallpaper.  The retro look of the pieces really caught my eye.  Here are some of my favorites.

Glam Rock

Like I've mentioned before I am not a girly girl but I'm definitely not a tough girl either.  The look of "Glam Rock" is one that is fun to play around with.  Black, studs, metal, fingerless gloves, lace and pointed booties are all quintessential pieces.  Here are some goodies I found on Etsy to help you achieve your look.

From Right. Low Back Mini Dress. Vintage Leather Jacket. Floral Studded Bracelet.  Vintage  evening bag.

Track and Field

Please forgive me for not posting yesterday. Ever since my boyfriend updated his iPhone software, my poor computer is suffering from some sort of a bug, please keep him in your thoughts as he is important to me, and this blog : )

I have "hearted" TrackandField designs for quite some time on my Etsy.  I love to check back often to see their new designs

J'aime SibylleD

Please join me in obsessing over the amazing sketches by SibylleD.  If you are going to sketch haute couture, Paris would be the place to gain inspiration!  My friend Nicole from Kirei Nest purchased a few and they are just as beautiful in person! Amazing craftsmanship.

Etsy Model of the Week

This weeks model is different then what I usually go for.  I traded up the fierce factor for something more sweet.  It probably has to do with the sunny weather and my obsession with "Bella's Lullaby" from the Twilight soundtrack.  They turned me into a softie.  But, I really love the interesting lighting and the setting, you might recognize the seller from my Romper post a while back. lulufinder has a fantastic assortment of rompers.

Today I love. ScarletFig

I am loving the sweet fabric sold in ScarletFig. It makes me immediately want to re-upholster a chair. Incase you don't have the time to do that, then check out some of their DIY Kits. Couch Potato Eye Pillows. Chic! A great little gift!

Today I fancy florals.

June gloom has taken over San Diego and I am in some serious need of a color besides grey in my life. Perhaps a visit to the Botanical Gardens in Balboa Park? Hmmmm or I could find some pretty floral inspired pieces on Etsy.

Flora shirts by Eliza+Axel.  Great soft architectural details.

Floral neck pieces by Twig&Honey.  My dog will be in my wedding and will be wearing that beautiful collar, and I will wear the necklace.

Etsy Model of the Week

It's Wednesday and you all know what that means...... Model of the Week!

We all know that Etsy has amazing designers.  But could Etsy also be used to searc
h for great models?  I think so....Whether they are professional models, friends, or the designers themselves.  The models are the ones who truly sell the product!

This weeks lovely model is from Paperdollfashion on Etsy.  Her hair cut is super chic and I wish I could pull something off like that.  Her skin tone is so beautiful, she could easily be a member of the Cullen family (Twilight fans your know what I mean).

Monday. Merci.

Merci. An amazing new concept store in Paris.  I was lucky enough to visit the shop close to its opening in March, and even meet with one of the owners.  (perks of FIDM study tours)  This store has a bit of everything clothing, furniture, interior design products, fabric, kitchen accessories, a small cafe, used book store and flower shop.  Here are some of my pictures taken in my favorite store Merci.

Above. The ladder display is changed every few weeks to a new loft style design.  The display can be seen from the basement floor to the 3rd floor.  Wall of chairs and a small vintage desk display.

Above.  A special children's room houses the fun displays shown here.  I especially love the twisted wire mannequins and the sweet wall paper.

Above.  Some of their little kitchen accessories.  Sustainable paper plates and untencils.  A reusable bag display on vintage gym lockers.

Gorgeous fabric, you litterally feel the need to make something immidiately after gaining inspriation from the store.

Above. The used/vintage book store featuring some really cool french literature, I couldn't resist from buying a book for a friend.  Right. Flower shop...... hey everyone needs books and flowers!

Merci.

Etsy Model of the Week

We all know that Etsy has amazing designers.  But could Etsy also be used to search for great models?  I think so....Whether they are professional models, friends, or the designers themselves.  The models are the one who truly sell the product.

This beautiful lady is a model for Etsy designer People'sCouture, store for indie collective street couture.  Her hair and makeup are flawless and look great with the dress/skirt.  In the middle picture I love how her collar bones stand out. Oh, how I love a protruded collar bone.

Zipper Jewelry. Check out these pins and cuffs by Brooklyn based designer Kate Cusak. Every lovely accessory in her shop is made exclusively of zippers!

I can hear the pitter patter of my heart whenever I look at the gold and black circular cuff.

Behind.

I'm sorry for the complete lack of posts, this week has been busy! Between friends moving across the country, cleaning out my old apartment, and a job interview..... eeek!  So, I sincerely apologize and to make up for it I'll share my favorite picture from my recent trip to Paris.
